Cosmic International was founded in 1963 by S.D. Keen. He began by supplying top quality jute carpet backing to leading carpet manufacturers of Dalton and soon established a respected name for his honesty and straight-forward business approach. He believed that sustainable growth is achieved by operating with business integrity, mitigating risks and servicing our valued customers. Cosmic International soon became one of the largest and most respected companies in the jute industry.

In the early 90's, there existed a scarcity of quality jute yarn needed to produce woven area rugs. To fill this void, leading US manufacturers approached Cosmic International in order to source their jute yarn. Building upon our core business, we have successfully diversified into new product lines, such as synthetic and cotton yarns. Understanding market demand and adapting to the dynamic market conditions have been the hallmark for our success.
